Drinks receptions can be funny things. Often people tell me how they’d hate to spend theirs wondering around for the sake of photos, whilst their guests get hungry and bored! A black tie wedding at Drapers Hall – Zoe & Rob

Photographing Zoe & Robert’s winter wedding at Drapers Hall was a real pleasure, not only because of their excellent sense of humour*, but because as soon as I spoke to them, it was clear that every single person attending their wedding was important to them. Each guest formed a part of their shared history, so it was integral that they experienced their celebration alongside them.

The Cowshed at Woodhall Farm – Lucy & Richard

This winter wedding is set in a recently converted barn, on Richard’s family farm in Staffordshire. It has a fascinating mix of the rustic outdoors, a black-tie evening and candle-lit, outdoor ceremony.

Lucy & Richard approached me because they didn’t want the typical-wedding photos (like you see elsewhere) as their wedding was to be so rich with personal significance. As I learned more, I knew it was going to be a beautiful day to be a part of!
